Alpe Adria Bike Trail
Tuesday - Ausgust 18th 2020
Our last day of our tour along the Alpe Adria Bike Trail started like the
previous ones with breakfast. Afterwards we headed to the next supermarket
to get snacks for lunch and then we continued our tour. Today's stage took
us along the river Drau towards Villach, where we expected to arrive in the
early afternoon. Since we had plenty of time until our train back to
Salzburg departed from Villach main station, we weren't in a hurry. Along
the way stopped at a lovely resting place, where we had a coffee break.
Around noon we were just before Villach and so we decided to eat our lunch
before arriving at our final destination.

In the early afternoon we finally arrived in Villach and since we still had
some time to kill, Claudia and I got a couple of glasses of wine at a nice
roadside cafe. At first we planned to head into the city, but it was just so
relaxing to watch other bikers go by while enjoying the sun. Finally it was
time to catch the train and soon we were on our way back to Salzburg. Two
hours later we arrived in Salzburg, where we got take out dinner for at home.
Although it was our first bike tour, we really enjoyed the whole journey and
can't wait to do another tour.
