Disneyland Paris 2017 - Part 6

Our Last Day

Friday - May 19th 2017

Unfortunately today was our last day at Disneyland Paris. We used the shuttle service to the parks and got a coffee at Starbucks. Once inside the Disneyland Park we headed straight to Star Tours and flew off into the Star Wars universe. Next was Big Thunder Mountain followed by Phantom Manor and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril.

For lunch we had a reservation at the Agrabah Cafe. Afterwards we walked to Cafe Fantasia, where we spent most of the afternoon, because the parks got really crowded. A couple of drinks later, we returned to the park to use our Space Mountain fastpass and to get some thing to eat. We tried the new veggie sandwich Disney now offers at Market House Deli on Main Street US. Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain was the perfect last ride for our Disney vacation. Before we drove back to the hotel we got another veggie sandwich at Earl of Sandwich and bought some souvenirs.

Returning Home

Saturday - May 20th 2017

After we got up, we checked out, loaded the car with our stuff and around 8:30am we hit the road towards Salzburg. There we arrived in the late afternoon and after we bought some groceries, we spent a nice and relaxing evening in front of the TV wathing The Nanny.

Although this trip had some letdowns, we still had a great time, but now I need a longer break from Disney. Since January 2015 we did a Disney Cruise, visited Walt Disney World and Disneyland Anaheim in the US, and traveled to Disneyland Paris three times. Thanks to all the refurbishment Disneyland Paris has never looked better on the outside, but there is still a lot of work to do to on the inside, like ride maintenance. We had never encountered so many ride closures due to technical problems. Nonetheless we are already looking forward to our next trip in 2018.
