Merano Spring 2017 - Part 1

Going To Merano

Saturday - April 22nd 2017

Claudia and I had never been to South Tyrol before, but we always wanted to visit and recently we got the chance to do that. The weather was lousy back at home and since we needed some sun really badly, we decided to drive to Merano. So Saturday morning we hit the road and around noon we arrived in Merano. Our room wasn't ready before 3:00pm and so we had some time to kill. First we ate our lunch we brought from home in a lovely park and then we walked into the old town of Merano. There we stopped for a welcome drink at a nearby bar and afterwards we just walked around this beautiful little town until it was time to drive to Naturno, a small village approximately 15 minutes away from Merano, where our hotel was located.

For our weekend trip we chose the La Vimea - Biothique Hotel in Naturno, because it's all vegetarian and only for adults. Once we checked in, we were greeted with a welcome drink, a wonderful glass of white wine, which we enjoyed in the sun on the lovely terrace. Then we headed to our beautiful and modern yet cosy room and unpacked our stuff. Afterwards we relaxed at the spa area, spent some time in the sauna and of course we jumped into the pool. Later we took a walk around Naturno until it was time for dinner. A delicious dinner later, we got some drinks at the hotel bar and spent the warm evening at the hotel terrace enjoying our drinks.
