Marry Poppins Musical

Since the day it was announced that Disney's musical
Mary Poppins was coming to Vienna, we wanted to see it. So we decided to see a show during Christmas time. Usually we drive to Austria's capital city, but like in October, we chose the train again, because our hotel was conviniently located at the train station, and we wanted to avoid all the Christmas traffic. This time we stayed at the
Motel One Wien Westbahnhof and like all other Motel One hotels we had stayed so far, this one was also fine. Our room was clean and equipped with a TV, but no mini bar.

Around noon we arrived in Vienna at our hotel. Luckily our room was already available and so we dropped off our luggage and went out to have lunch at
Xu's Cooking, a vegetarian buffet restaurant.

After lunch we headed to the inner city, had a drink at the Hard Rock Cafe and then it was already time to go to the theatre. Mary Poppins was shown at the
Ronacher Theatre. We booked the afternoon showing, because the evening showing was already sold out. The musical was fantastic and we loved every minute of it.

After the musical we walked to the Museumsquartier and had several mulled wines at the Christmas Market. On the way back to the hotel, we stopped at
Vapiano for dinner. We shared a bruschetta as an appetizer and while Claudia ordered pasta for the main dish, I had a pizza.
