Poysdorf

Claudia and I got up pretty early, because we decided to go for a short run
through the vineyards, since the weather was really nice. Once we returned, we
all had breakfast together, since all of us had differnt plans for the day. My
parents wanted to do a bike tour, while my sister, her husband and their
daughter headed off to Therme Laa to spend the day relaxing at the beautiful
outdoor pool. That left Claudia and myself with my brother and his girlfriend
to make plans on our own.

Since we were near the Austrian Czech border, the four of us decided to drive
to the small but lovely town of
Mikulov to check out the
castle. When we arrived, we were so surprised what a beautiful village Mikulov
was. First we did a guided tour through Mikulov Castle, which lasted for more
than an hour and then we stopped at a coffee house to enjoy some pastries and
coffee. Afterwards we just strolled through Mikulov and checked out the small
shops scattered around town square. Back at the car we were suprised with a
parking ticket. So we headed to the police station to pay the fine, but
luckily the officer only gave us a warning. Afterwards we drove back to
Poysdorf.

Back in Poysdorf together with my parents we paid a visit to the
Vino Versum Museum, which was all about making wine. Since a guided walking tour through the so
called Kellergassen as about to begin, we decided to to join the tour.
Kellergasse translates into Wine Cellar Lane and theses lanes are one of
Weinviertel's cultural highlights. Our tour guide was really amazing and
explained the history of the wine cellar lanes very well and entertaining.
Along the tour we also got to try a couple of wines. Once the guided
walking tour was finished, we reunited with my sister, her husband and their
daughter at a nearby restaurant called
Neustifter
for dinner. After a relaxing dinner together we headed back to the hotel and
had a couple of drinks at Tiger's Bar again.
