Our First Full Day In The Parks
Monday - June 4th 2018
Today was our first full day at Disneyland and of course we got up early for the Extra Magic Hours. One of the best things about Disney's Hotel Cheyenne is the Starbucks Coffee House. Each day on our way to the parks we stopped there for a good cup of hot coffee. It's about 15 minutes from the hotel to the parks and we arrived just in time for the opening of Disneyland. During the Extra Magic Hours only Discoveryland and Fantasyland are open to Disney hotel guests, and so we started with Buzz Lightyear's Laser Blast and Star Tours in Discoveryland. Afterwards we headed over to Fantasyland to visit the dragon beneath the castle. It's always such a joy to see that wonderful animatronic figure.

After we checked out some shops on Main Street the rest of the park finally opened. First we got a fastpass to Big Thunder Mountain and then we walked to Adventureland to do the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril roller coaster. Since we still had some time left until we could use our fastpass, we decided to go to Walt Disney Studios Park just to ride the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Back at Disneyland it was finally time to use our fastpass for Big Thunder Mountain. Afterwards we had lunch at Italian restaurant Vapiano just outside of Disney Village.

In the early afternoon it got really warm and the parks got pretty crowded, we decided to take break and returned to the hotel. After we relaxed a bit, we headed back to the parks. Our first stop was Rock'n'Rollercoaster in the Studios followed by Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland. For dinner we stopped at Hakuna Matata restaurant for fries, rice and salads. The rest of the evening we spent at the Sports Bar in Disney Village.
