London 2017/18 - Part 5

Our Last Day

Tuesday - January 2nd 2018

Today we had to return home, but luckily our flight didn't depart before the evening. After breakfast we checked out and were on our way to Waterloo Station. There we left our luggage at the left luggage service and headed into the city. Unfortunately it started to rain heavily and so we decided to grab a cup of coffee and a late breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien in the hope it would stop pouring. Since we couldn't spend the whole day at the coffee house, we decided to give it another try. The weather wasn't getting better, so we had no other opportunity than to stop at The Admiralty Pub for a beer. There we decided to go to Gatwick Airport earlier due to the rainy weather, but not before we checked out Yorica, a vegan frozen yoghurt place. The frozen yoghurt was okay, but nothing we can't get at home as well. Afterwards we headed back to Waterloo Station, picked up our luggage, took the metro to London Bridge and from there the train to the airport. Since we still had some Pounds left and some time to kill, we enjoyed a beer at Jamie's Bar and an early dinner at Wagamama. Finally it was time for boarding and we were in good spirits to be back in Munich soon. However, Easyjet had some problems with the luggage and so we left an hour later. Back in Munich we drove home to Salzburg.
