Since the weather was really nice, Claudia and I decided to go hiking. We found a nice tour to the Tappenkarsee (Lake Tappenkar) that wasn't too hard and Saturday in the morning we were on our way to Kleinarl, a very small town in the Alps. Unfortunately the main holiday season started and so we got into a traffic jam. Finally around 10am we arrived and started our hiking tour.

The Tappenkarsee is a mountain lake in the Radstadt Tauern in the Austrian Alps and is a very popular for hiking. We started at the so called Schwabalm and around two hours later and an altitude difference of 700 meters, we arrived at the Tappenkarsee.

There we spent some time and had a Radler, a beer mixed with lemonade, at the Tappenkarsee Hut. An hour later we were on our way back to the car.

Before we returned to Salzburg we stopped at the Jägersee (Hunter's Lake) and enjoyed another Radler while watching a swan family.
