Arriving In Budapest
Thursday - June 7th 2012
Claudia and I have planned to visit
Budapest for quite some time now, but unfortunately we never finalized our plans. A few weeks ago we found a good hotel offer and so we booked the hotel for a long weekend trip.
Our journey started around 8:00 o'clock in the morning when we left Salzburg by car. Six hours later we arrived at our hotel in Hungary's capital city. Our hotel was called the
Eurostars Budapest Center and was conveniently located in the inner city near the pedestrian zones. We parked our car in the parking garage behind the hotel and then we checked in. Soon we had our room, which was really nice. It included a mini bar, a TV and of course a bathroom. Housekeeping came every day to clean the room and so there was nothing to complain about, except for one thing. They never restocked the minibar, although we had told the receptionist twice.

After we refreshed and unpacked our stuff, we were on our way to the pedestrian zone with all the shops and restaurants. We stopped at the
Anna Cafe for a welcome beer and did some shopping until we found the
Hard Rock Cafe. Of course we had to stop there too. A cocktail and a beer later we got hungry and left to search for the vegetarian restaurant which we wanted to try.

The restaurant was called
Napfenyes Etterem and it was about twenty minutes by foot from the Hard Rock Cafe. I ordered the fried pancakes filled with vegetables and potatoes, while Claudia had a pizza.

Then we returned to the hotel, where we had another beer at the hotel bar. Later we went to our room and watched some TV before we went to bed.
