Christmas Time 2025
Saturday - November 15th 2025
Christmas Time started early this year since Claudia had already her first
Christmas party yesterday evening. For the weekend we visited our families in
Linz and so we spent some time in the inner city to check out the first
Christmas Market called
Winterzauber at Klosterhof, but first we had lunch at
Front Food, a plant based fast food restaurant.

Saturday - November 22nd 2025
Today my parents visited us and took our niece with them. First we had lunch
at
Yuen, our favourite Chinese restaurant in Salzburg, and then we checked out
Salzburg's Christmas Markets. After we got some treats at the famous Christmas
Market in the old town, we took the funicular to the fortress above the city,
where another Christmas Market was awaiting for us. There we got mulled wine
before heading back into the old town and getting more mulled wine at
Sporer, a well known store and bar for spirits, wine and other alcoholic beverages.
Friday - December 5th 2025
A long weekend was ahead of us and so Claudia and I checked out one of the
smaller Christmas Markets in Salzburg in front of the City Hall at Mirabell
Palace. There we got mulled wine and some roasted nuts before getting dinner
at
Cosmic Pizza, our most favourite pizza restaurant in Salzburg.

Monday - December 8th 2025
At least once during Christmas Time we try to meet up with our best friends
and this year was no exception. We decided to check out the Christmas Market
in Wels together due to the beautiful Christmas Lights. Of course we got
mulled wine and some treats and enjoyed a lovely afternoon with our friends
before driving back to Salzburg.

Friday - December 19th 2025
One of the highlights of this year's festive season was our dinner at
St. Peter Stiftskulinarium, probably the oldest restaurant in the world that is still open. Although
it's more expensive than other restaurants, the service, the food and the
atmosphere are totally worth the price. Claudia and I both got the truffle
noodles for the main course and they were delicious. After a wonderful dinner
we paid a visit to the
Ö3 Weihnachtswunder, which is a fund raising event for families in need hosted by Austria's
biggest radio station. Each year the event takes place in another city and
this year it was Salzburg.

Sunday - December 21st 2025
Today Claudia's parents visited us in Salzburg and of course they wanted to
visit the Christmas Market as well. After a delicious brunch at home we took a
walk into the city and checked out the
Winterzauber at Stiegl Keller, which was very similar to the Winterzauber in Linz. We got mulled wine
before heading back home.

Wednesday - December 24th 2025
Claudia and I always spend the Christmas Holidays with our families in Upper
Austria, but we still get a Christmas tree for our apartment in Salzburg. This
year we bought the tree pretty early at the beginning of December and so we
can enjoy our tree for the whole festive season. On Christmas Eve we usually
have dinner with Claudia's parents before we exchange gifts and have a relaxed
evening with drinks.

Thursday - December 25th 2025
On Christmas day we drive to my parents, where we have lunch with them and
either my brother and his girlfriend or my sister and her family joins us.
After we exchanged gifts we went for a walk before spending another relaxing
evening with our familes.

Friday - December 26th 2025
While I spent the second Christmas Holiday with my parents, Claudia spent the
day with her parents. Since the weather was really nice we went for walk
around the village I grew up. In the evening my brother and I together with
some friends drove to
Palasino, a Casino behind the Austrian - Czech boarder, and had a great time gambling
our Christmas money.
