Rafting Boat Tour

Today was the highlight of the trip and the reason why we came to Cesky
Krumlov in the first place, because we had booked a rafting boat tour on the
Moldau River. After we got up, we headed down for breakfast and little did we
know how bad that was going to be. There was no bread, no coffee and no cheese
since they ran out of those. Although we complained at the reception they
still didn't restock anything. So we left and headed to the bakery across the
town square and got the most delicious croissants and coffee. Then it was
finally time to get to our tour operator.

We booked our with
Malecek, a company that is offering such tours for over 30 years now. From their
office a bus took us to the small village of Piskarna, where they handed out
the boats. After a short introduction we finally got our two person boat and
started our rafting tour along the calm Moldau river. Along the river we hat
to go down several weirs, which was a lot of fun, but also a little bit risky,
because some boats turned over and the people landed in the water. About four
hours later we arrived back in Cesky Krumlov, where we stopped at a fantastic
outdoor war right next to the river and got some drinks. We really enjoyed the
relaxed atmosphere and the warm summer weather, but we had to return our boat.

After we returned everything at the final station near the brewery, we walked
back into the old town and got some ice cream. Then we returned to the hotel
to shower and relax a bit before heading out for dinner. Today we chose a
pizza restaurant called
Nonna Gina. The pizzas were quite good and since we hadn't eaten anything throughout
the boat tour, they were gone quickly. The rest of the evening we just
strolled around Cesky Krumlov and had another drink. Back at the hotel we
watched TV until we fell asleep.
