Schladming 2024 - Part 1

Ski Trip To Schladming

Wednesday - March13th 2024

Like last year we wanted to celebrate our birthdays with a ski trip. So we took a couple of days off and Wednesday early morning we drove to Schladming, where we had already been last year. When we arrived, we purchased our tickets and hit the slopes. The night before it snowed and so on top of the mountain a Winter Wonderland awaited us. That also meant that the pistes were in a much better condition than expected. Later we stopped at Gumpen Bar for a drink to celebrate our vacation before heading to Da Sepp Restaurant for lunch.

In the afternoon we checked out other areas of the ski resort and then we called it a day, since we still had to check in at our hotel. This year we stayed at the TUI Blue Hotel, a modern hotel accross the cable car station. Check in was quick and easy and soon we unpacked our luggage. Afterwards we headed out into the town to get some drinks at a nearby bar. For dinner we went to Papa Joe's, a nice burger restaurant, where we both got the plant based burger. Being really full and tired we went back to our hotel and watched TV until we fell asleep.

Schladming 2024 - Part 2

Skiing In Schladming

Thursday - March 14th 2024

After breakfast we got ready for another great skiing day. The sun was shining and soon we hit the slopes again. Today was Claudia's birthday and of course we had to celebrate with a glass of Chmapagne and beer at the same bar like yesterday. For lunch we stopped at Schladminger Hütte and we both got the garlic cream soup and shared a cheese plate. Then we did a couple more ski runs until we took a break at Kessler Bar, where we enjoyed a hot coffee.

In the afternoon after we finished our skiing day, we headed into the town center. There we had to get a birthday cake for Claudia and stopped Cafe Niederl for delicious desserts. Then we did some shopping until it was time for Apres Ski at the famous Hohenhaus Tenne. The DJ was already on fire and after a couple of drinks we also hit the dance floor. It didn't take long and the whole bar was singing and dancing. When Tenne closed to get ready for the night session, we headed out to get a falafel sandwich with fries for dinner. Back at the hotel we spent a quiet evening in front of the TV.

Schladming 2024 - Part 3

Our Last Day

Friday - March 15th 2024

Today was already our last day in Schladming. After breakfast we packed our belongings, checked out and then we drove to the cable car station. We were a little bit early and so the ropeway wasn't open yet and so we literally rope dropped the skiing day. The weather was also really nice, which meant another fantastic day was in front of us. Fur lunch we stopped at the same restaurant like yesterday and we even ordered exactly the same like the day before. In the afternoon it got really warm and so we decided to finish early, but not before getting a drink at Kessler Bar. Back in the valley we had another drink at the Finale Bar to end our skiing season. Afterwards we loaded the car, got some snacks at the supermarket and rove back home to Salzburg.
